The Tragedy Of
Grizzly Man
Challenge: Inspired by American documentary "Grizzly Man", using indesign and procreate software, through vivid quotes and pictures for the book cover and layout design, it reflects the tragedy of Timothy being eaten by a grizzly bear because of his love for nature.
Solution: The book's design begins with this tragedy while showing Timothy's love and desire for nature and grizzly bears, as well as nature's cruel code of the underdog. The book's colour palette uses five colours: red, yellow, blue, green, and black, of which yellow, blue, and green reflect the magnificent vastness and romance of nature and the charm of the free life of the grizzly bear. And red and black reflect the cruel reality of nature's calm appearance, representing bright red blood, hunting and death.

Timothy's quotes are throughout the book using these rough textured handwritten fonts (Salvation & Alta California) to give the reader a better understanding of his thoughts and ideas about nature. In addition to Timothy's photos, the book includes many images of Alaskan landscapes and grizzly bears, adding to the reader's sense of immersion. The entire book is designed in a solid style, allowing the reader to experience the horror and sadness of this tragedy.
